"She's huge!"
Nathaniel stood on the bottom floor of the hangar where the gravship Kaiser Ayreon rested. He had demanded to see the ship immediately when he landed with his helicopter and entourage at enu Behemozion.
It was late, just some forty minutes before midnight, but Nathaniel didn't care. He wanted to see it. Besides, the sun was still up. Roqpin season was great.
"Your Serenity, yes..." echoed the new captain of the base. "We're sorry about the mess here, we only found this place three weeks ago. We're still trying to get the engines going, but sadly most technicians who knew about this stuff are dead, either from the Babkhan holocaust... or because of old age. She's over sixty years old, you know..."
"She doesn't look that bad." Nathaniel was still staring. "Can we go inside?"
"You could if you want... but there's nothing there. The main engines have been decomissioned a long time ago, and taken to pieces, and all furniture and stuff..."
"Yeah I get the picture, but you can still get an idea of it, right?"
"Yes sir! Have a safety hat on, just in case... we're doing some repairs, we're going to prepare for the refitting of new coils and engines, and rooms..."
Nathaniel interrupted the captain. "You really seem to like this ship." He just couldn't bare these technical details.
The captain nodded.
"How long is she?"
"Almost 400 metres, sir. When in flight, she's about 140 metres from top to down! She'll be an incredible sight when she's operationanable."
"I can imagine, captain!"
