The first quarter: In the first quarter is to be found the Goddess Elwynn standing on a globe - which symbolizes, since all authority in the Elwynnese Union is derived from the White Orchid Goddess - that the seat of the government of the Elwynnese Union is situated within the borders of the City and County of Eliria.

The second quarter: The golden lyre in the second quarter represents the magical lyre of the founder of Eliria, the legendary Elfinshi Lady Tlygowa the Lyrist. The word "Eliria" is derived from the Elw placename enu elirion, "place of lyres".

The third quarter: The three crowns in the third quarter symbolize the nations - Elwynn, Amokolia and Hurmu - that were once ruled from Eliria.

The fourth quarter: The burning castle represents the several times that Eliria was destroyed throughout its long history.

The inescutcheon: This is the Arms of the House of Ettlingar Freyu.

The collar: The collar below the shield is the collar of the Order of the Two Sacred Rivers, which is the highest order of chivalry of the Elwynnese Union.
