The National Party is an Alrodean nationalist party, founded in the late 16th century. The National Party originated as a union of smaller nationalist parties who strived towards a common Alrodean identity. The Nationalist Party was a fascist party when it was first founded but has since then moved towards the political centre. The NP supports the welfare state and strives towards reform of the internal divisions of Alrodey, wanting to get rid of the current voting system and the strong current of regionalism that is present in certain areas in Alrodey. The National Party was originally anti-democratic, but now embraces representative democracy.

The National Party has been a long proponent of the establishment of Alrodey as an independent demesne and the Seperation Act was seen as a huge victory for the nationalist forces on the island.

Currently, the National Party is the largest party on Alrodey, occupying 14 seats in the Sämling. The party has especially strong support in Ashing and Fletchay.

The Democratic Union of Alrodey is one of the youngest parties of Alrodey, formed after a union of the Conservative Party and the Democratic Party of Alrodey. The party has been a stern supporter of international trade and low income and business taxes. The roots of the DUA can be traced to the period of internationalisation that made large parts of Alrodey very rich.

Support for the Democratic Union is shattered across the nation but is especially strong in the north and in areas depending on international trade such as Seelandt and, to a lesser extent, Fletchay.

The Verionist Union was founded as the Verionist Party after the proclamation of Alix Tiberius Verion as Lord Regent of Alrodey. It was formed by Shirithian immigrants, as well as regionalist Alrodean factions and Alrodean merchants. The Conservative faction in the Democratic Union of Alrodey merged with the Verionist Party to establish the Verionist Union, whilst the liberal faction left the party.

Although ideologically hardline Verionist, the Union has proved to be a party open for consensus. After the 1639 elections, the Verionist Union formed a coalition government with the National Party, allowing Prime Minister Victor Falkner a second consecutive term.

The Verionist Union is generally popular in the urban areas and in coastal provinces, with strongholds in Fletchay, Seelandt and along the Northern coast. Current leader is Stephen Lewis, son of the former Lord Regent Jack Lewis.
