On the Auspicious Occasion (froyalanish genocide)

AN INSTRUCTION BY THE PALACE OF THE DIVINE LIGHT OF HEAVENS
ON THE AUSPICIOUS OCCASION

We, loyal servants of the Chidao Emperor, sole and absolute ruler over the Jingdaoese Empire, Light of Heavens, send greetings to our fellow wanderers on the path of purity.

The Imperial Palace has received multiple messages about discussions held in the Batavian Parliament and in Amokolia. It is said that the event that was called the Auspicious Occasion in Shireroth, is a genocide on the Froyalanish people. Those who write to the Imperial Palace often say that they are unsure whether to side with the Shirerithians or the Amokolians. It should be noted that the Froyalanish people are one of the ethnicities of the Storish people world wide. This ethnicity is considered to be hun (impure) because of its extreme, complete and unspeakable vileness. While Shireroth is also considered a hun state, it is considered to be so because of the animosity and (former) rivalry between Jingdao and Shireroth. Would Shireroth not have such a troubled past with Jingdao, it would be classified as a chu-hun (neutral leaning towards impurity) or perhaps even a chu (neutral) state. It is for this reason that the Imperial Palace is no more concerned about the Auspicious Occasion than it is about any other occasion in which a troublesome pest is removed from the face of Micras. The fact that Shireroth has taken on this task gives us a glimpse of hope that they are redeemable from their impure state.

Done by my hand in the daor 402, in the Norton Year 1674.

"In light of this, and their former Kaiser's willingness to negotiate peace, we could consider promoting them to Chu-Hun status?"

Chu-hun would mean they are moving in the wrong direction. But with our rivalry coming to an end, with Shireroth unable to pose a serious risk, the Imperial Palace will consider suggesting to the Ministry of Stability to confer chu-status.

"This opens another serious matter which we have stayed silent about till now: how will our administration react to the current developments in Shireroth since the Kalirion Fracture? Several influential administrators have asked to send a delegation to Shirekeep to show our respect to the legitimate successor of the Mango Throne. How does the Palace think about this matter?"
