The Vanic Temple Guard in Natopia is an armed paramilitary organization which has been raised by the Hafrlafðir, the spiritual leadership of the Natopian branch of the Storish Ancient Ways, for the purpose of carrying out sentry, protection and ceremonial duties for and at the Vanic Temples Beyond-the-Seas in Natopia and other premises, sites and establishments under the temporal or spriritual of the Natopian branch of the Storish Ancient Ways as well as their clerics, guests and staff.
The aforesaid Temple Guard operate under such rules, regulations and policies for its good government as the aforesaid Goat Ladies shall see fit to issue in accordance with the provisions of the Concordat of Þårvik. Professing the Storish Ancient Ways is not a requirement for joining the Vanic Temple Guard in Natopia, but one has to have the utmost of respect for the aforsaid Faith and its ways.
The Hafrlafðir, before proceeding to issue rules, regulations and policies for the good government of the Temple Guard, must communicate any such draft rules and regulations for the good government to the Natopian Government in order to find out if there are any objections against them. No rule, regulation or policy for the good government of the Temple Guard takes effect over the objection(s) of the aforesaid Government, provided always that silence from the Natopian Government for thirty days after the aforesaid notification may be interpreted as to mean that there are no objections.
The Membership of the Vanic Temple Guard in Natopia is primarly drawn from Valiant Vixens - especially those who have served at the Storish Embassy in Lindstrom City -, (former) members of the Holy Order of the Armored Goats, (former) members of the Natopian Defense Force, former members of the former Lovelian Army from both Natopia and Stormark, and locals from Demesne Defense Forces. The Temple Guard's motley, but majority Natopian, composition is the direct result of the Hafrlafðir's policy to integrate the Natopian branch of the Storish Ancient Ways deeply into the society of its host country Natopia.
