The White Stag is considered a sacred animal and the embodiment of the primal deity, Mother Whitetail. These rare creatures are distinct from other deer in that they are completely white, and often blend in with the snowy surroundings once winter descends. Thus they are extremely rare to find. It is against Herder law to hunt, harm, or trap a White Stag, as it is considered a violation against the wild spirit of nature.
To spot a White Stag in the wild is considered good fortune by Herders and is said to bring good tidings to the family of the one who spotted it, signifying the blessings of Mother Whitetail.
