The joint border outpost of Toketi and Novatainia, Bahira is a thriving multicultural town. The easternmost part of Novatainia, the citizens have, at times, more of a Tokian feel than Novatainian, but they are quite happy to pay taxes to Novatainia, and that's all the government really cares about. At the border of two provinces, and close to South Nova, many resources common in the two lands are freely available, and the town is full of traders. There is also a military garrison of both provinces, both to defend the town, and too engage in mock battles for training (and with tickets available for only 60 GELT a day for adults (children/pensioners only 40 GELT) a quite profitable enterprise). The battalions for Novatainia are regularly rotated there so that all get a go, and the citizens always get new entertainment. Being on the border of what was once two nations, it built a thriving banking and moneychanging sector. As a result, many financial firms also call Bahira home.
