With the end of the season now here, the campaign's only League 1 retiree has returned to his parent club Osĵätoņ Aztecs. A year at Florian outfit Dragonmoor FC has been fairly successful for Aldurian left-back Aítor Canarias; helping the team to the AEFA Cup final and to a top-five finish in the league, and it is thought the club are interested in enacting the buy-out clause that last summer's loan deal included.

After earlier reports of both the club and player's interest in making the move permanent after last season's loan, Dragonmoor FC have completed the transfer of Aítor Canarias for a fee of Cr 7 million. The 29-year-old left-back will slot back into the squad as if he never returned to Craitland, as he hopes his form over 2019 and 2020 will see him find a place in Alduria's Copa Apollonia squad.

The annual announcement of retiring League 1 players has this year seen eight stars hang their boots up for good:

HóC's Monovian-born Corian centre-back Karlo Tkalčić, 35, calls time on a ten-season affiliation with the club, having signed as a free agent in the summer of 2010.

Kealb part ways with New Vaduzian right-midfielder Nils Lichsteiner, 34, following twelve years together which started in 2008 ahead of the club's first ever top-flight campaign.

Osĵätoņ Aztecs are the heaviest-hit side with four retirements this year; decorated Craitish international midfield trio Vän Vanisen, Olivier Dermäna and Jón Zyxveldtsen, all 34, leave the club with a major rebuilding project on its hands before the next campaign, while Aldurian right-back Luís Blanco, 35, calls time after four seasons on the south coast.

Lastly, ZK lose their #9 and #10 in one go as the latter's Craitish midfield occupier Chris Vorgeņ, 34, retires alongside a surprise career end for Uroš Kocić in the former jersey, with the 26-year-old Corian striker joining a number of his compatriots in retirement following the collapse of their home nation.

Unusually, the majority of the top tier's teams have no retirements to report this summer.

Cherry Trees have permitted veteran Natopian defender Joshua Murphy-Lee to return to his home nation on a free transfer. The 35-year-old who primarily plays left-back, but is comfortable in the centre and in a more advanced role, has agreed terms with Mehlville Panthers of the newly-restructured NSL. The former-national team captain ends an eight-year association with the capital club, having joined from Crécy in 2012 for Cr 9 million, and takes with him a plethora of winner's medals including an unprecedented treble from his last campaign in Craitland.

Osĵätoņ Aztecs have struck early to fill the gaps in their midfield left by this summer's retirements, as Adam Brzeziński joins as a free agent following the collapse of Coria's domestic setup. The 22-year-old midfielder last played for Radnik Avas but is more known for his performances on the international stage with Freeland, for whom he scored twice at the 2019 FMF World Cup to help them reach the knock-out rounds. Since Freeland's demise earlier this year, however, he is now eligible for Merenolitovina and will wear the Aztecs' number eight.

Craitish international striker Dräsen Isrdlvarien has completed a surprise move to Northcliff City. The Florian outfit's Cr 26 million deal for the 30-year-old was completed earlier today, with potential add-ons meaning the full fee could rise to Cr 30 million in the future. Since joining the side as an academy graduate in 2008, Dräsen has become a key factor for Sverige Tiem throughout a number of trophy wins, and was the club's top scorer in both of the last two seasons. Unfortunate to miss-out on a place in Craitland's 2020 Benacia Cup squad, he'll hope to add to his 18 caps whilst proving himself in the Florian top flight.

HóC have picked-up Craitish defender Paul Óma-Pellegrino from Floria's Northcliff United on a free transfer.

The 25-year-old has yet to play professionally in his homeland, having began his career as a youth player at Safirian outfit Miše FC, but has been with Northcliff United since the summer of 2017 and has played his part during a highly successful period in the club's history. Despite three league titles, two cups and a Champions' League winner's medal, he fell out of favour this summer after a couple of big-name defensive signings and was permitted to leave for no fee in the same vein in which he joined. He takes the number 15 jersey at HóC.

ZK confirm double free agent swoop.

Freeland-born Merenolitovinan striker Szymon Woźniak, 26, and Birgesh-born Hazarese midfielder Kawab Hocæzæde, 28, have agreed terms to join ZK on transfer deadline day. Both players join after being made unemployed by the collapse of Krasnocoria's league setup, with Woźniak having featured at the 2019 World Cup while Hocæzæde was a squad member in 2014 for their respective birth nations.

Hocæzæde will wear the number 15 for this season, with Zandt forward Dieter Maritzburg moving to number ten, with Woźniak being given the nine shirt.

Aztecs add to squad with further gaps yet to fill.

NAD free agent Marek Sulejmani has signed a short-term contract with Osĵätoņ Aztecs. The 30-year-old last featured for FK Lednik in Coria and brings some international experience having featured at CiboTap 2018. The club's second incoming player this summer will wear the twenty jersey, but the side still have three available squad slots to fill before the rapidly-approaching deadline tonight.

With the transfer window closing for 2020, the final additions to the League 1 clubs' squads have been made through CÓNECT's academy graduates:

Cherry Trees acquire centre-back Tolten Jancqist, 18, who will wear the 22 jersey as İlker Keremov shifts into the vacant number five.

Right-mid Jonny Sendór, 17, joins Kealb as a back-up to Alexis and takes the club's number 22.

Osĵätoņ Aztecs gain three youngsters as a potential change of guard runs through their squad. 20-year-old right-back Rick Hjungberg is joined by left-back Stephen Elkmaär and left-wing specialist Tór-Lydveldt Larsen, both 19. They take the numbers 12, 21 and 24, respectively.

Lastly, Sverige Tiem look to 18-year-old striker Helge Bruņ to help fill the space left by Dräsen's departure. He will wear number 17 after Mariolino Sonetti moves to the vacated number ten.
