As the season draws to a close, those players on loan to and from League 1 clubs return to their respective parent teams.

Young goalkeeper Matthew Ujestcqist returns to BäJ after a year in the Florian Republic. Sharing duties throughout the season, his involvement helped the team to a sixth-placed finish and a cup final appearance. The 23-year-old is expected to be very much in contention for a starting place in League 1 next season.

Jær Van Kotrisbond heads back to Senya with a league winner's medal from his spell at Eĵars Town this year. A key acquisition for the side as they won their first championship and also reached the WMFA Champions' League final, Van Kotrisbond's original deal included an obligation to buy clause which is likely to be honoured prior to the World Cup, where he is sure to be involved.

Finally, Lucäs Georgesen's time in Coria comes to an end. A handy striking option for FK Sartid this term, the 24-year-old missed-out on a title by three points after the "Smederevci" took the race to the final round last weekend but fell shy in second. Reports of interest in Coria to bring the forward back this summer have not been confirmed by the club itself.

The following 21 League 1 players have announced their retirements from football this summer following the 2019 season:

Biulya äqi Jedu are hit hard with departures this year which, after a poor campaign, could spell a summer of investment. Six players are ending their careers, including five who won it all with BäJ during their most successful period between 2014 and 2016. Sadly, attacking midfielder Zelmar Toscano, 28, is one of the many reportedly deceased Gerenians following the nation's collapse towards the end of last year; arguably his nation's most gifted player, his contributions over six seasons in Biulya brought the club honours beyond any fan's wildest dreams. Two other key players from the club's heyday are also hanging up their boots: goalkeeper Hjaņ Ula, 35, who was capped by Craitland twice, was part of the successful EMU 2011 squad and played 17 seasons in League 1; and legendary striker Aki Mäenpää, 34, whose 23 World Cup goals - in seven tournaments, representing three nations - make him the competition's sixth-highest scorer alongside a six-year spell with BäJ. In addition, reliable deputies in defence Christian Elvira and Michele Contè, both 34, call time after four and twelve years, respectively, while another goalkeeper in back-up Lydveldt Hjansen, 36, leaves the club with a bit of a crisis between the sticks.

Besides the much-publicised departure of striker Freddie Gaärsen, 34, Cherry Trees' only other retirement is goalkeeper Peter Marcqist, 35. Signed from ZK in 2013, he has been a willing understudy for the past six seasons, with most appearances coming in cup competitions.

Champions Eĵars Town are renowned for having a youthful squad, and that is epitomised by having no players considering themselves old enough to end their careers this summer.

HóC's two outgoings this year are both defenders. Captain and Craitish right-back Hänä Ula, 33, ends a 17-season association with the club having signed ahead of the league's inaugural campaign, and gained three senior international caps. Shireroth's Matthew Castaraghi, 34, will leave a big gap; the centre-half spent eight years with the team and was the first Shirerithian to play in League 1.

Striker Seol Tae-Ki, 35, is Kealb's sole retiree this year. Brought to the club from the fallout of Riponia's league's collapse ahead of Kealb's first top-flight season, the Taesongean-born forward established himself as one the league's more reliable goalscorers in eleven seasons at Kealb. His last hurrah could be on Wednesday as Nova English Korea try to reach the World Cup play-offs.

Having survived to stay in League 1 by the skin of their teeth with a play-off win over Hjardef, Osĵätoņ Aztecs will need to sell players before making any acquisitions, with no players announcing retirements.

Róndlinga Diamonds' first- and second-choice goalkeepers from the past 14 seasons - Zyx Hjaņ and Oscar Vanisen, both 36 - have chosen to hang-up their gloves, as has club captain Lucäs Pellegrino, 33. The international left-back had a promising career before a series of injuries curtailed any chance of a big move, but four caps and leading his club to a Cities' Cup win this year are certain highlights.

Sverige Tiem are another club to have no outgoing retirees, following a successful season in which they won their first WMFA Champions' League, but have sadly lost Gerenian central midfielder Zorau Pánčaster, 29, in the reported crisis of his homeland. In three seasons at Sverige, his tenacious displays helped the club to a domestic double and a first Champions' League title.

Three international players, four in total, are departing Xäiville Teflons this year. Tellian defender Marco Schiavvi, 35, ends his career as a two-time World Cup winner and took one of each domestic trophy in six years with the Teflons, as compatriot Frederico Diamo, 34, who played in seven World Cups but not the victorious ones, also calls time. The oldest player in the league is also retiring in the shape of 38-year-old stopper Daniel Palazio, who played in three World Cups, while local Xäi lad and left-winger Mat Loresen-F'achh, 34, ends a career that has spanned half his lifetime.

ZK's three retirees are all 34 years of age. Having joined aged 18, defender Jón Neilsen ends 16 seasons with the club, while midfielder Pelle Lydveldtsen leaves after eight, with Novatainian-born Copa Apollonia winner Lijah Cuu ending his time having joined as a free agent in 2016. ZK are the third and final side to be affected by events in Gerenia, as young striker Imre Dameanóvița, 24, who was the club's top scorer in 2018, has been reported missing and presumed deceased.

Three further Kealb players have announced surprise retirements, following Seol Tae-Ki calling time on his career in the week. The trio, having discussed their future options between them, have agreed to step aside to allow the next generation of CÓNECT graduates through.

Striking duo Lydveldt Ula and Älekä Jacksen, both 34, end a combined thirty-plus years in football having been with the club since its inaugural season in 2004. Their departures leave the side with a lack of attacking options, however, in addition to Seol, which gives real focus for transfer targets this summer. The third to end his career today is left-back Matthew Ragnus, 34; after eleven seasons with Kealb, the Riponian-born defender hangs his boots up having played in five World Cups and six EMU Championships for his home nation and adopters Nova England.

DSĴ bring in big name keeper

Dyas Scitenhima Ĵets have made the first major move of the Senyan transfer window by signing Senyan international keeper Sileman Bɏankarlënœ from Craitish side Osĵätoņ Aztecs for a fee of 15 million craites. After the Aztecs's most recent season, where they finished bottom and only avoided relegation through a play-off, it was widely reported that Bɏankarlënœ, who'd been at the Aztecs for seven years, was ready for a return home, especially as he wished to retain his #1 international jersey, which has recently came under competition from elsewhere. As such, signing for Dyas Scitenhima Ĵets may prove to be a chance to display his qualities as a goalkeeper that we have become accustomed to over the years.

Von Kotrisbond completes permanent League 1 deal

The day after signing one player from League 1, Dyas Scitenhima Ĵets have lost one as centre-back Jær Van Kotrisbond completed a permanent deal with Eĵars Town for a reported fee of 16.8 million cr. Van Kotrisbond, who had spent the previous season out of loan at the Pointers, joins the club after they brought out his release clause following an impressive first season in Craitland. The transfer is widely seen as a way for the Dyas club to raise funds to buy more talent in as they aim to recruit new talent in order to close the gap down on clubs like KB and Urzi.

Two New Vaduzian free agents have secured deals with League 1 clubs for the 2020 season, following the collapse of the Caputian league in which they last played.

International first-choice goalkeeper Tom Wise has been snapped-up by Osĵätoņ Aztecs a day after they allowed the sale of number one Sileman Bɏankarlënœ. The 26-year-old became his nation's primary stopper for EMU 2018, and last played for Tly Hearts. He slots straight into the vacated one jersey and fills the Aztecs' 25-man quota, though more changes are expected over the summer after the club's dismal 2019 season.

27-year-old left-back Martin Ulrich is the other to join the league, bringing the total of New Vaduzians in Craitland's top flight to three. The former-Real Porapa man has joined Róndlinga Diamonds as the club look to improve on last term's eighth place, with a début WMFA campaign set to commence in September too. Ulrich takes the 21 shirt.

Osĵätoņ Aztecs left-back Aítor Canarias will spend next season at Florian side Dragonmoor FC after agreeing a loan deal with the potential to buy next summer. The 28-year-old plays second fiddle to young Craitish international Ben Hjyngmost, and is hoping for an increase in game time in the Florian Republic in a bid to return to the international fold himself, having last played for Alexandria in 2017.

Kealb have added an attacking option to their squad ahead of Saturday's season opener, by bringing in Lakkvian Kristján Viðarsson on a free transfer. The striker, 31, last played for Maynor Wolves in Caputia but has been unattached since that league's collapse last season.

Having lost three strikers to retirement this summer, Kealb have aimed at getting experience in as replacement, and Viðarsson is one of Micras' most well-known goalscorers, having scored 13 World Cup goals. While he may not be the team's primary striker for the upcoming campaign, the Hurmu-born forward adds needed depth and will wear the number 16 shirt.
