Decree: Regarding the Imperial Trading Network

A Decree of the Council of Arboria

The Council of Arboria, recognising the importance to its local economy, and also to that of the Empire as a whole, of the north-south trading network, and in particular the contribution of the maritime trade in silver, hereby notes the abandonment of the Port of Taroof by the Governor of the Demesne of Alkhiva or Tinalkina, and shall assume responsibility for the said Port, in order to prevent avoidable disruption to the said trade network, effective immediately.

Legality aside, its unnecessary as there's no reason for SATCo ships to stop at Taroof anymore so once the remaining stock of juice is shipped out and the last worker is removed no SATCo ships will be making port in Taroof, simply going straight from Port Trias to Tirlar, vastly cutting down the time it takes to make the journey.

The tropical fruit jungles of the southern Skerry islands have much more acreage, albeit with less density, so SATCo wants the people of the Empire to be assured that there will be no shortage of juice in the Empire due to Taroof's overproduction problems.

There is plenty of room on both Istvanistan Island and the Skerries for the production of tropical fruit and similar products, but first demand will be assessed, and lessons will be learned from the problems experienced under the colonial administration of SATCo.

The legality of all recent decrees concerning Taroof will be settled when the relevant laws are appropriately amended by the Frenzy.
