The port of Westminster

Welcome in the port of Westminster, the capital of the Brettish Islands, where you can begin your journey trough our nation and here you can apply for citizenship.

Becoming a citizen of the Brettish Isles is not very difficult. The only thing you need to do is to fill in the form, which you will find on the very end of this post.

The application of citizenship needs to be approved by the Lord Protector.

For more information about the counties of the Brettish Isles, take a look at our official map.

Note that, before you can apply for citizenship, you must register an account on this forum.

Lord Sherrinford,

How does this sound? New citizens who pledge 3 months of service to any
government agency, including the Brettish Navy, would receive a 100 SCUE bounty
from my office. Please note that this also requires that at least 10 posts be
made per month. The incentive would being conducted out of Economics, so the
Immigration office would have to approve the citizenship and the appropriate Naval or
other government office would have to provide a verification of employment
first.

Should the bounty amount be bumped even higher?

Signed,

Thadeus

Your Highness,

I think we should try to come to some common ground on this. I have talked about
bounties much in the past as a positive way for us to gain new citizens, generate
activity, and enhance our economy. These would lead towards general improvements
in the national experience, which as Lord Protector I thought you wanted. If you
do not want the bounties, that is fine, but please be advised that bounties are one
of the only few proven active capabilities that a micronational economic minister
can use. Take that away, and then I would become merely like other economic
ministers, a mere bookkeeper wearing a green eyeshade. I have a PhD in Economics
from the State Academy of Elwynn; I fear that being a mere bookkeeper wearing a green
eyeshade might become "boring." My office could be far more effective, in short,
if I could be able to grant bounties.

Signed,

Thadeus Lange Jr
Minister for Economics
The Brettish Isles

I'd rather see you focus on development of economy, preferably not only by lawmaking but by setting up business deals with other nations.

Furthermore, I think that if a citizen becomes part of our nation because of a bounty, and if the existence of a bounty even plays a role in his/her decision to join our nation, than this person is not fit to be a citizen of our Commonwealth. I like people joining because they like our nation an sich, not because of money.

Your Highness,

I agree with your brilliant statement about wanting the economic
ministry to do "setting up business deals with other nations."
Truly your genius is shining through. I will endeavor to meet that
expectation by pursuing increased bilateral trade discussions with
foreign powers.

Signed,

Thadeus Lange Jr
Economic Minister
