Well: Out of everyone here, you might well be the best collaborator. I have no idea how you keep in your head all this context about what everyone is doing and has been doing over the last however many whiles, all I can say is that it's impressive. I think at least Chris and Nate have a larger supply of cleverness and fresh ideas, but they don't put the same sort of work into keeping all the threads together that you do.

Also, fun historical fact: It took me until the War of Jeremy's Nose to properly accept that you are in fact not an asshole. I mean that was 2008, I'd known you for quite a few years by that time. These days your coarse exterior looks pretty thin to me, but I don't know whether that's just familiarity, or because you're actually nicer, or because I'm more eager to see niceness.

You don't get tangled in any of the countless social webs strewn about the community. Not unless you want to anyway. You're alright.

I already threw in my pennyworth during yesterday's MicrasWiki userpage shenanigans, but if you insist on an elaboration...

Aside from the abovementioned taste for fermented beverages and unrivalled command of the English language (which may or may not be related), I too have undergone ari's journey of no longer cowering in fear every time you pop your head in the window. Lest you think you may be losing your edge, rest assured you retain a capacity for unconscionable savagery but in recent times it seems to have been more effectively directed at those who deserve it, thus representing a net good to the community and an arguably under-appreciated mitigation of the insipid collapse in narrative breadth that has hit our sector like a wrecking ball since Game of Thrones begain airing.

In the wake of Minarboria shitting the bed, your presence is admittedly one of the few reasons I continue to linger around here myself. Make of that what you will :salute:

Much less frightening after seeing him IRL. I expected a more twisted exterior.
