Rasmus is not a NAZI leftover...is he?

But yes NAZIism is of course worse than even the most extreme of the terrorist-used interpretations of Medieval Islam. That is mainly because of the wide swaths of people NAZIism justified killing.

The difference between some modern Islam groups and Nazi Germany is not how evil they are, but how effective they were.

His views on what it is to be a king are enlightening. Everything is starting to make sense. Except the porn. Don't know where that comes in.

I like the idea of a universe where evrything is the same as ours exept that there are only two sizes of spoon that can physically exist(edited)
Mira O-A (Prefect of Shirekeep) - Today at 10:45 PM
yes
and that they can vaguely perceive a 3-size-spoon world but cannot depict it
Ryker - Today at 10:46 PM
Cern has the Large Spoon Creator
And when the third spoon eventually is created, the universe starts over this time allowing for three sizes. This cycle repeats itself until there are so many spoon sizes that no one notices that some are impossible, leading us to where we are now.
Our univers is based entirely on spoons

French and Spanish has two grammatical moods, indicative and sarcastic. American English has one grammatical mood, the indicative, while British English has two, the indicative and the sarcastic.

[2:39 AM] [VYK] James: http://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-03-14/g ... er/9543406
ABC News
The case for doing away with gendered language
Language has the power to make people invisible, according to an expert in gender studies who's praised Qantas's inclusive language directive to staff.

[2:39 AM] [VYK] James: Discuss after reading.
[3:46 AM] [RS] ari: The overloading of "girl" to mirror both "boy" and "guy" is really annoying and stupid and I have no idea how it ended up that way (and don't really even want to know)
[12:07 AM] [VYK] James: I agree.
[10:01 AM] [OIL] Raz: I don't live in a city so I don't have to worry about that modernist bullshit for at least another 50 years
[10:17 AM] [HON] Hālian: :unamused_safir:
[10:31 AM] [OIL] Raz: What?
[10:37 AM] [OIL] Raz: I really can do without all those people who have nothing better to do with their time than think up all that stupid abstract nonsense.
[10:38 AM] [HON] Hālian: @[OIL] Raz You are Warned for sexist and homophobic dialogue.
[10:41 AM] [OIL] Raz: Image

[10:42 AM] [CRA] Craitman: "Sexist and homophobic"? Link?
[10:42 AM] [OIL] Raz: Just what I said earlier. It hasn't been removed...
[10:43 AM] [CRA] Craitman: My point exactly
[10:44 AM] [OIL] Raz: Fair enough. Just wanted to make sure you didn't think I made an actually bad comment about otherwise-genitally-outfitted-or-focused persons...
[10:45 AM] [CRA] Craitman: You don't come here often enough
[10:45 AM] [HON] Hālian: @[OIL] Raz You are Warned again for antagonizing other users and being a dick.
[10:46 AM] [CRA] Craitman: @[HON] Hālian No
[10:47 AM] [HON] Hālian: @[CRA] Craitman Please elaborate.
[10:49 AM] [CRA] Craitman: That what @[OIL] Raz said has not merited any warnings for either the "sexist and homophobic dialogue" or user antagonisation mentioned. If you're going to admin a server, don't allow personal dislike of individuals cloud your judgement
[10:52 AM] [HON] Hālian:
sexist and homophobic dialogue

He referred to Qantas' directive to use more inclusive, gender-neutral language as “stupid abstract nonsense” conceived by people who have “nothing better to do”, thus suggesting that gendered language is infallible and irreplacable.

user antagonisation

Immediately after the first infraction, he mocked the administratum by posting an image of a laughing puppy, thus dismissing the administratum and its members as mere purveyors of churlish amusement.
[10:52 AM] [HON] Hālian: These are infractions regardless of the infracting user's identity.
[10:55 AM] [CRA] Craitman: That "ROFL" picture was the issue? Jesus
[10:58 AM] [CRA] Craitman: Look, ignorance to society changing is a person's wont. Unless he actively abuses someone based on their gender, race, sexuality, or describes something using insulting language, let him be a fist-shaking, damn-kids-nowadays regressive. As someone who is not straight, I found no homophobia in his comments. Don't get offended on my behalf
[10:59 AM] [HON] Hālian: I have little patience for regressives.
[11:02 AM] [CRA] Craitman: Being regressive in itself is no means for punishment. This is what a liberal society entails, and especially in a place reserved specifically for debates such as the topic at hand. You can dislike the idea of something without actively trying to destroy it, life's not a dichotomy
Just so I can read it back later if I care to. I have a feeling Carl is seeking reasons to remove me from that chat and/or might remove the posts if he thinks this whole discussion makes him look bad.

"Girl" did originally mean as child of indeterminate gender, but that's at the Middle English stage. That semantic shift is pretty much fixed at this point.

The only instance I can think of that it's been re-neutralized is in the gay community as part of a more general use of feminine-specific terms. Is it a Euro-English thing to start using it gender naturally in a wider context?

Craitgod:
We have Japanese nations pop-up on land only ever previously owned by Greeks.

Ardy:
Head canon - elite rule drives culture changes taken up by pathologically sycophantic middle classes, leaving some very, very, confused and long-suffering peasants at the bottom of the pile
Imagine, you've saved up for your first purple lined toga, finally figured out how to wrap it about yourself without falling over, only to discover that the neighbours have donned kimonos and are organising a tea ceremony.

Also Ardy:
"How the hell did you lot get here?"
"There was a tunnel."
"A... tunnel?"
"Did I say tunnel? There was never a tunnel. Ever. We have always been here!"
Important characters:
Frederik Alfons des Vinandy-Paravel, King of Batavia
Joseph Bartholomeus des Vinandy-Windsor, Prince-Regent of Batavia
Jin San, Diwang of Jingdao, Duke of Kildare
