Malarbor Says
Malarbor says: Learn to overcome the crass demands of flesh and bone, for they warp the matrix through which we perceive the world. Extend your awareness outward, beyond the self of body, to embrace the self of group and the self of humanity. The goals of the group and of the greater Race are transcendent, and to embrace them is to achieve enlightenment.

    Mevwan Languages

    Postby Alicorn » Sun May 22, 2011 6:27 pm

    Mevwan Languages:

The humans of Mevwan generally speak Ekoin, with significant minorities of Cosash speakers in some mainland communities. Zaee usually pick up Ekoin, but are raised speaking Iozwe; surviving records from the ship may be written in Iozwe, Kimsin, or Caevian, all Zaee languages, and some Zaee learn one or both of the latter. Zaee AIs are usually programmed with translation modules for all of these languages and a variety of foreign ones. The nation "Mevwan" is named for the moon the Zaee ship was trying to reach and colonize before they crashed; the country was originally called Kthropfe, but "Mevwan" was adopted generally out of its easier pronouncability for the Cosash-speaking minority over the objections of a conservative segment of the Ekoin speakers.
