Following the catastrophic events that have devastated the Home Islands, the Nova English government wishes to strengthen its ties with the Brettish Provisional Government through the continuation of aid and support.

As such we wish to establish a formal embassy within the city of Pharos with Mr Aethelgar Webb acting as the primary Nova English contact within your nation. Subject to your acceptance we will provide the necessary papers and credentials for Mr Webb.

However we believe that through supporting our fellow brethren we can ensure the survival of the Britannic people on Micras.

Sincere Regards,

Colonel James Hild
Provisional Witan Chief
Kingdom of Nova England

Greetings and salutations to our distant cousins in Nova England!

As before we express our continued gratitude for your support in our efforts to evacuate the Brettish Isles and establish a new home for ourselves in the Skerries.

We of course welcome the establishment of an embassy, with Mr. Webb acting as the mode of communication between the provisional government and Nova England.

Best regards,
Lord Angus Hamilton

Lord Angus Hamilton,

May I first introduce myself as the Representative of the Nova English government here in Brettania. As noted by the Chief of the Provisional Witan, I am Mr Aethelgar Webb and will be the first point of contact between your own Provisional Government and the Kingdom of Nova England. It is my hope that despite the catastrophe that befell the Home Islands, through mutual development we can forge an ever close bond.

The first item of business that I have been requested to raise with yourself, is the possibility of a mutually beneficial Lend-Lease programme. The basis of this being that high maintenance naval equipment be transferred from the Brettish Navy to the Nova English Navy for an indeterminate length of time to be agreed during subsequent negotiations. In return the Nova English government will provide ongoing food and cloth shipments, in addition to providing specialist officers from the National Defence Initiative to help with infrastructure redevelopment that utilises the limited resources available to yourselves.

As noted the above forms our initial opening ideas for discussion and we look forward to ongoing negotiations.

Sincere Regards,

Aethelgar Webb
Representative of the Kingdom of Nova England

Lord Webb,

We look forward to working with you as we navigate these most trying of times.

As to your proposal, we find it acceptable and would even go so far as to sell outright any military assets that are no longer feasibly maintainable. Even under the best of circumstances, it is highly unlikely that enough infrastructure - and capital - will be available to support what remains of the Brettish Royal Navy. While we shall remain a naval nation, as the Brettish people have always been, it is no sensible for us to pursue retention of assets that we cannot properly maintain and/or pay to have them maintained elsewhere. Better would be the scenario that we sell off these extraneous assets and use the capital to fund humanitarian relief and infrastructure improvements vital to getting the remaining populace settled in the Skerries. Given the chaotic nature of the situation it will take some time to ascertain what assets we can reasonably sell and those which we wish to retain. We can begin by offering the sale of the HMS Veracity, with the contingency that it continue to be used to aid in rescue efforts (or until those operations are reasonably complete).

If selling these assets outright it not preferable to Nova England, then we will consider the option of a lend-lease program.

Best regards,
Angus Hamilton

Lord Angus Hamilton,

Many thanks for your quick response.

I will confirm with the Provisional Witan and the Ministry of Defence with regards to the purchase of the Brettish Naval vessels. However I can confirm that the initial feedback that I’ve received so far has been positive.

We are sympathetic with the fact that until the situation has stabilised it would be improper for us to presume that you’d prioritise these trades. However in the situation of the HMS Veracity we can confirm our interest in the purchase of this ship. The Ministry of Defence will send across a team of engineers from the Nova English Navy to undertaken initial inspections. We can also confirm that the inspections will not interfere with the vessel’s ongoing humanitarian operations and that the Ministry of Defence desires to complete the purchase following the conclusion of these operations.

Sincere Regards,

Aethelgar Webb
Representative of the Kingdom of Nova England
