Kuominliantang

The Kuominliantang (KLT), or National Union Party, can be traced back to the National-Centrist Party, which during the Minshu Period was the most powerful political faction in the Imperial Assembly. We seek, just like our honourable ancestors, to strengthen the nation through a strong mix of nationalism, traditionalism and certain new, modern ideas.

Our program

1. Military
To protect the State, we need a strong navy and army to back it. With the continued threat of the Shirerithian menace and their not so subtle claim on Jingdaoese mainland, we can not in any way give in to the imperialist pigs.
We therefore support the Xindao Program (New Path Program) which seeks first-most the expansion of our naval forces. These huge investments will hurt in the short run, but are necessary if we want to remain free from foreign intervention.
We also seek the continued expansion of cooperation with allies to expand our military industry and cooperation on the field.
Military service must be expanded to all ethnic groups, and not solely to the Jingdaoese youth. Many Kildari have already shown their willingness in the past to join our ranks and we know that this will not only strengthen the State, but also raise the awareness and pride of the youth that they belong to the greatest nation in the world.

2. The Emperor
The Heavenly Light is an integral part of the Empire's history and forms the core of the State. While we hesitantly support a certain limitation to His political powers, we recognize the need of a strong leader in times of need. We believe that the Emperor, in His wisdom, can guide the Realm to greatness. For this reason we support the powers which were granted to Him in the current Constitution (veto power, appointment of the upper house,..).
The Heavenly Light must, except for being the watchful guardian of our State, remain a symbol of unity and religious figurehead.

3. Democratic institutions
We hope that the National Diet will act as a decent institution, which will act as a stabilising factor in our sometimes chaotic political scene.

4. Economy
We fully endorse the integration of our economic system into the USSO Common Market.
The Kala shall be replaced by a new currency.

5. International Affairs
The nation of Shireroth is seen as an enemy of the State with whom we are in a continued state of (cold) war as long as their regime claims our Jingdaoese mainland.
We, however, seek no quarrel with the nations of Alexandria and Natopia and hope to establish amicable relations with them, if possible.
The member states of the USSO are seen as our closest allies, not only on the military level, but also on cultural and economical level. We seek to further strengthen the bounds between the nations and launch new, exiting projects.

6. Tribute System
With the changing world around us, we need to adapt: our tribute system requires streamlining to avoid unnecessarily provoking allies. For this reason, we shall still ask a tribute (a gift) from any nations which wish to establish contact with our administration. However, we in turn shall also pay a tribute out of goodwill to nations which we open relationships with.
In treaty negotiations, we shall ask all partners to give each other some kind of token of gratitude (replacing the tribute).

7. Educational system
We seek to further expand the national education system. There are still many among us who do not enjoy to be educated. Jingdao needs the educated masses to keep growing stronger and stronger!
