Order of the Royal Blood

The Imperial State of Constancia: Benevolent hereditary dictatorship, constitutional monarchy, laissez-faire technocracy, aristocratic corporate state, organized crime family syndicate or liberal autocracy? It depends on the day.

(Order of the Royal Blood)

Brief: The Order of the Royal Blood was founded by Queen Alexandra, the Queen-Empress. It was originally thought to be used to award members of the Royal House of Williams and indeed it was not opened to other Royal and Imperial families until much later. Her Majesty wanted to award her grandfather, King Constantine I, as the first ever person to receive the honour. However, she was persuaded that a living person to whom she was a mother had to receive it first - it was the then Porphyrogennetos James, the later King James II.

Holder title and address: The Most Rightful [Royal title] [First name] MRB
Example: The Most Rightful Prince Edward MRB
MRB meaning: Member of the Royal Blood

Symbolism: The Order symbolizes the supremacy of the holder over all other non-holders, his historic and divine blood. Excepting purple, the other colour associated with the Royalty is yellow and gold, so the order medals are made of pure gold. [TBC]

Interesting facts:
1) The Order is the only such that has no leader. All holders have the title "Member of the Royal Blood" since they are all considered of equal rank originating from their divine genetics.

2)The Order is the oldest order to be granted to these days and it is considered the most noble of all. By tradition Porphyrogennetoses, in other words Heirs to the Throne, are awarded on their Acceptance ceremony, but other holders include members of the Royal family as well as members of foreign Royal and Imperial families. An interesting fact about the order is that whether the recipient is of Royal or Imperial rank, he or she still receives the Order of Royal Blood, not of Imperial. The origins of this is that the Founder of the Order did not consider it possible for any other reigning monarch to outrank her by title. Therefore, while subsequent monarchs of the The Royal House of Welleys have acknowledged foreign families with Imperial rank, tradition has kept the order untouched.
